"Couples réels et métaphoriques à l'âge classique" [Jeunes chercheurs] Sous le patronage de la SFEDS et de la Société d'études anglo-américaines des XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles, le CREA XVIII de l'Université de la Sorbonne nouvelle Paris III organise les 3 et 4 avril prochain un séminaire transdisciplinaire sur le thème: "Couples réels et métaphoriques à l'âge classique". Le sujet, volontairement large, doit permettre d'accueillir des jeunes chercheurs de tous bords (littéraires, linguistes, historiens, musicologues, historiens d'art, des sciences etc.) travaillant sur les XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles. Peuvent être candidats les étudiants inscrits en 3e année de thèse au moins à la date du 1er janvier 2009 ainsi que les docteurs qui ont soutenu après le 1er janvier 2007. Les personnes intéressées sont priées d'envoyer au plus tôt et, dans tous les cas, avant le 30 octobre 2008, un bref CV qui inclura en particulier le titre et l'état d'avancement de leur thèse, ainsi que le nom du directeur et l'université de rattachement, et un résumé de la communication proposée à l'adresse électronique suivante: seminairejeunes@yahoo.fr. Les frais de séjour et de déplacement des candidats retenus pourront être pris en charge.
The British Society for Eighteenth Century Studies, 38th Annual Conference Tuesday 6th -Thursday 8th January 2009 at St. Hugh's College, Oxford This year the conference theme will be 'Eighteenth-Century Lives'. We would thus particularly welcome proposals for papers that address any aspect of life writing or personal experiences, whether individual or group, throughout the long eighteenth century and in any part of the world.
