Instructions for Authors

All technical papers will be reviewed by professional paleontologists, preparators or technical personal, edited to be accessible to non-specialists, and published as HTML and PDF documents accessible to all with Internet connections via the website www.jpaleontologicaltechniques.org.

Authors are encouraged to submit color illustrations, digital animations and other on-line tools.

There is no page limit for articles published in Journal of Paleontological Techniques (though all articles are edited to optimize their realized information content) and there are no page charges. These aspects of Journal of Paleontological Techniques are made possible because of the unique advantages of the digital format and because there is no analogue to the paper, typesetting, and distribution costs required by print-based publication.
