EXPERIENCE
Main research activities since October 2000: Study of cellular and biochemical mechanisms governing host-pathogen interactions and their modulation by the environmental factors. Impact of harmful algae blooms and micrplastics on bivalve physiology and immunology. Positions: Director of research (since  2011) at CNRS, researcher responsible (2000-2011).
April 2000 – 2000 : Postdoctoral position in IFREMER Brest, Laboratory of invertebrate (Dir. J.-C. Cochard). Project : Patho-physiological approach of Crassostrea gigas spat summer mortalities.
March 1998-March 2000: Postdoctoral position in the Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences (College of William and Mary). Advisor: F.L. Chu.
Project 1: Uptake of PCBs and transport within adult oysters (Crassostrea virginica) and to embryos and larvae: Potential for reproductive, and developmental impairments.
Project 2: Lipid metabolism in the oyster protozoan parasite, Perkinsus marinus.
Co-instructor in MS 570 Nutrition and energy reserves in marine organisms.
November 1996 - February 1998: Postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Aquaculture (University of Gent, Belgium). Advisor: Pr. P. Sorgeloos.
Project: Breeding improvement of Crassostrea gigas by nutritional and gametogenesis control.
June 1996 - September 1996: Postdoctoral position in the marine oil laboratory (Department of Food Sciences, Technical University of Nova Scotia, Canada). Advisor: Pr. R.G. Ackman.
Project: Purification and characterization of unusual marine lipids in marine oil.
February 1996 - April 1996: Postdoctoral position in the analytical chemistry laboratory (University of Brest, France). Advisor: Dr. Y. Marty.
Project: Development of a new method to identify and quantify aldehyde chains from marine oil by gas chromatography
