Registration for first-year bachelor’s degree programmes [Licence 1]

If you hold the proper credentials to access higher education in the country in which they were delivered, you must complete a Preliminary Admission Application [Demande d'Admission Préalable] (DAP) via the cultural service of the French Embassy in your country of residence.

You can download the DAP form from the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur de la Recherche et de l'Innovation.
Important! You may only apply to three different universities.

You must complete the process between November 15 and January 22 of the academic year preceding your registration at the university.

Once your file is complete, you must submit it to the cultural service of the French Embassy or Consulate, who will then forward it to the institution you have marked.

French competency test [Test de connaissance du français (TCF)]

If you are from a non-French speaking country (where French is not the official language) you must take the Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF pour la DAP). This test is organized by the French Embassy of your country of residence and costs EUR 69. Please note that your application will be rejected by Université de Bretagne Occidentale if your French language skill level is below B2.
