Welcome to Brest University!
The Pôle langues offers classes of French as a Foreign Language (FLE) to students registered at UBO:
- from elementary (A1+/A2) to advanced (C1) level;
- 2hrs per week, during 10 weeks (1st sem.) or 11 weeks (2nd sem.)
- in the evening, on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays (6-8 pm).
The Pôle Langues also offers classes of French for beginners (level A0-A1):
- for beginners, or people who have never taken a French class;
- 2 classes per week during 8 weeks OCT.-DEC. and JAN.-MAR.
- in the afternoon, on Tuesdays and Thursdays (1.30-3.30 pm)
Levels A2, B1, B2, C1:
there will be 11 lessons of 2 hours each,
from Monday 12th January 2026 to Friday 3rd April 2026 (11 weeks).
A2 classes will take place on Wednesdays, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., starting on Wednesday, 14th January 2026 (22 hours).
B1 classes will take place on Tuesdays, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., starting on Tuesday, 13th January 2026 (22 hours).
B2 classes will take place on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., starting on Tuesday, 13th January 2026 (22 hours).
C1 classes will take place on Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., starting on Wednesday, 14th January 2021 (22 hours).
Level A1:
there will be 16 lessons of 1,5 hours each,
from Tuesday 27th January 2026 to Thursday 26th March 2026 (8 weeks)
A1 classes will take place twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (24 hours).
Please note there will be no classes from 23/02/2026 to 27/02/2026 (February holidays).
Please note that registration is now closed.
The next registration period will open at the beginning of September 2026.
Classes will start again at the end of September / beginning of October 2026.
