UBOCC is a merger of two former collections from laboratories at the University of Brest: the Marine collection and the BRC FAN (Fungi, Agri-food, eNvironment). 

UBOCC is a service at the UBO whose mission is to preserve and distribute biodiversity resulting from laboratory research projects. 

This service preserves bacteria, archaea, yeasts, and molds from various environments such as deep-sea and coastal environments (hydrothermal vents, deep marine sediments, bivalve pathogens) and agricultural and agri-food ecosystems (agri-food companies, field flora, environments contaminated by hydrocarbons or plastics).
